Description: Ayres Associates provided Kane County, Illinois with digital, color orthoimagery services in 2017. The aerial imagery was collected on April 12th, 15th and 17th using a Microsoft UltraCam Eagle sensor mounted in a fixed-wing aircraft. Aerial imagery was collected to support 0.25 foot ground sample distance (GSD) orthoimagery to meet ASPRS Class I horizontal accuracy specifications at 1"=50' map scale. The horizontal accuracy meets or exceeds 0.5 foot RMSE using the National Standard for Spatial Data Accuracy (NSSDA) specifiactions. Resultant orthoimagery was rectified to a DEM surface created from existing LiDAR data collected in 2008. Orthoimagery was delivered in GeoTiff and MrSID tiles, according to a client provided tiling scheme. The total project area is 624 square miles, plus a 1 mile buffer around the county boundary.
